Matthews Massage and Wellness offers two apps with sound therapy and meditations to use during your session of choice.
The music and meditations are preset to emit frequencies that influence the nervous system; stimulating the parasympathetic part of the nervous system to promote a calming “rest and digest” state of being. The vibrations from the table can further relax the distal nerves and reduce muscle tension, alleviate chronic pain, and in so doing, improve joint mobility. The vibrations and sound therapy together can encourage restful sleep by reducing stress and relaxing the body.
The mental and emotional benefits include:
- stimulating the release of endorphins
- promoting feelings of happiness and wellbeing
- reduce the symptoms of depression
- increasing the release of endorphins to help lower cortisol levels
- helping to manage stress and anxiety
Studies show Vibroacoustic Sound therapy helps mental clarity by clearing the mind, enhancing focus, creativity and productivity.
The frequencies used by the inHarmony Vibroacoustic Sound Table enhance brain function by promoting brainwave synchronization, supporting states of calm and focus. It supports Neuroplasticity, encouraging the brain’s ability to adapt and rewire; making it helpful in recovery from trauma or injury.
Some specialized applications could include support for post concussive conditions where the vibrations and meditative soundtracks can help with symptoms like headaches and cognitive fog. Some individuals with sensory sensitivities, such as autism, may find the rhythmic vibrations soothing and calming.
There are many research studies currently being done in the area of Vibroacoustic Sound Therapy (VAT).
Most of the studies involve the affects of VAT with Anxiety, Depression, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Dementia, Parkinson’s, Pain Management, COPD and many more. Click Here for more information on these studies.
We are very excited to be part of this newer technology to help our clients overcome the daily stress, anxiety and many other conditions we are finding today. We want to support you on this journey of healing. Using the inHarmony Vibroacoustic Sound Table in conjunction with the Sunlighten Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna and our integrative massage therapy sessions is a great place to start!
