Welcome!

Laura Church, BS Degree in Biology/Medical Technology, NCLMBT 4940, Reiki Master, AMTA Member

Laura Church is a licensed massage and bodywork therapist with over two decades of experience supporting clients through therapeutic touch, relaxation, and energy-based work. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist (LMBT #4940), a Reiki Master, and a proud member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

Laura’s journey into massage therapy began on a deeply personal note. After experiencing sciatic and lower back pain herself, she discovered firsthand how powerful and life-changing massage could be. That experience sparked her passion for helping others find relief, balance, and restoration in their own bodies.

She has been practicing massage therapy since 2004, with intermittent breaks along the way to explore other paths and experiences that ultimately enriched her perspective as a practitioner. Today, she brings that depth of life experience into every session, meeting clients exactly where they are.

Laura specializes in therapeutic massage and energy work, seamlessly blending techniques to create a customized session based on each client’s unique needs. Her work may include deep therapeutic approaches, hot stone therapy, relaxation techniques, and subtle energy work, all designed to support healing, ease tension, and promote overall well-being. If she were to describe her massage style in three words, they would be: relaxing, rejuvenating, and reviving.

One of Laura’s most memorable moments as a massage therapist involved a client who arrived with severe shoulder pain, rating it a 10 out of 10. Through a cranial release hold followed by focused trigger point therapy, Laura was able to help the client leave the session completely pain-free. Moments like these remind her why she loves the work she does.

Outside the treatment room, Laura enjoys hiking, traveling, spending time with dogs, and indulging her inner foodie through both cooking and dining out. She is also a dedicated Tai Chi and Qigong practitioner, practices that complement her massage work by deepening her understanding of movement, energy, and balance.

If Laura had a superpower for a day, she would choose the ability to fly like an eagle, soaring high above the world to take in a raptor’s-eye view of landscapes near and far. Her dream vacation destinations include Italy or Hawaii, where she would happily immerse herself in the local cuisine and breathtaking scenery.

When it comes to karaoke, Laura has many favorites, but one that always comes to mind is “What’s Up?” by 4 Non Blondes, a song that never fails to spark connection and nostalgia.

Laura’s approach to massage is intuitive, thoughtful, and deeply client-centered. Whether you’re seeking relief from chronic pain, a moment of deep relaxation, or energetic balance, she creates a safe, supportive space for your body to unwind, reset, and heal.
